Lesson Plans
When planning my lessons, as well as structured mini-units, I strive to create thoughtful experiences that build on foundational concepts and allow students multiple opportunities to engage with the material. Following the guidance of educators like Dr. Robin Bright, who emphasizes teaching a concept three times for deeper comprehension, I aim to present ideas in varied ways—through interactive activities, collaborative work, and individual practice. This approach helps reinforce learning and ensures students have the time and support needed to fully grasp key concepts. My goal is always to create a learning environment where understanding grows incrementally, fostering confidence and curiosity in every student.
Here are some sample individual lessons that not only stand alone but can also serve as building blocks for future learning. These lessons are designed to be expanded upon, allowing for integration into other subject areas and topics, creating a cohesive and interdisciplinary learning experience for students.
